AGT voting results tonight: Wednesday at 8/7c, except September 8
Season 21 put its results on Wednesday nights. NBC's Season 21 voting guide says the results of each round will be revealed on Wednesday nights at 8/7c on NBC all summer long, ending with the Live Finale on September 23. A Tuesday ballot and a Wednesday reveal are two separate events, and only the second carries the answer.
September 8 broke the pattern. NBC's listing for that three-hour episode says the results will be calculated on the spot and announced immediately, so the outcome came inside the same episode instead of in a Wednesday results show.
The window behind each Wednesday reveal runs overnight. NBC's voting guide puts the Tuesday window at 8 p.m. ET, when the live show starts, to 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning, and NBC Help words it as opening at the start of the show and closing at 7 a.m. ET the next day. The results show follows at 8/7c that evening.
Results tonight therefore mean one of two things: a Wednesday results show at 8/7c, or an on-the-spot result inside a special episode. A date beyond those two is the network's to announce, and the season's guide is where the schedule was printed.
America's Votes in the recap: the Top 3 Acts and no totals
America's Votes is the network's name for the audience tally. In Wednesday night's Live Results Show, NBC revealed which Top 3 Acts received the most America's Votes, and its recap of the first Season 21 quarterfinal prints that ranking without a single number.
The ranking leaves two numbers unstated: what an act received and what it needed. A threshold for any round cannot be read from a list of names, and a round total cannot be added up from it.
A total quoted by a fan site or a news site belongs to that site. The recap is the organiser's own account of the first quarterfinal, and it prints none.
A ranking still carries information: the Top 3 Acts topped the tally, which gives a viewer an order to cite. In the comparison table only the recap row speaks to figures, and what it says is that there are none.
The Season 21 finale: September 22 performances, September 23 results
NBC split the finale across two nights. Its guide to the finale time says the Tuesday episode consists of performances from all 10 Final Acts and the Wednesday episode reveals the results of America's Vote, and its live shows page puts the Live Finals on Tuesday, September 22 and the Live Finale on Wednesday, September 23.
Host Terry Crews was scheduled to reveal the results of America's Vote by the end of the night on September 23, according to NBC's finale live-updates page. The winner's total is not in that line.
The finalists' window ran from 9 p.m. ET Tuesday to 7 a.m. ET Wednesday, per NBC's FAQ table, an hour after the weekly Tuesday window opens at 8 p.m. ET. The rules list the performance show airing September 22, 2026. As of September 30, 2026 no finalists window is open tonight: the window for the 2026 finalists closed at 7 a.m. ET the morning after that show.
Votes cast per act: ten for each method in each window
NBC's FAQ says fans can cast up to ten votes for each act on the ballot that week, inside the applicable window, online, in the official app and on TikTok.
The cap is counted per method. The app and the website each allow up to ten votes per act per email address in a window, and TikTok allows up to ten per act per public TikTok account in a window.
The allowance is a per-fan cap. The recap names the Top 3 Acts and gives no total per act, so a fan's allowance cannot be placed against any published figure.
Three routes in: NBC's voting page, the official app and TikTok
NBC's FAQ says that, beginning Tuesday, August 18, 2026, there are three ways to vote for acts on America's Got Talent: the official app, NBC's voting website and TikTok.
The app and the website both run through an NBCUniversal profile, which the FAQ says anyone can create for free with an email address, a Google account or an Apple ID. The NBC app takes registration with an email address as well.
TikTok is the route with no profile: its cap follows the public TikTok account instead of an email address, which is why the FAQ counts the ten per act separately for that method.
Invalid, flagged or fake: what NBC's rules state and leave open
Three rules in NBC's FAQ decide whether an AGT vote counts, and none of them describes how a fake vote is found.
What the rules do not describe is detection: they say nothing about what follows a breach, so the organiser alone decides what is flagged or disqualified. Nobody outside NBC can say whether a particular ballot was flagged, which leaves the window, the allowance and the profile as the fixed points a reader has.
- The window: anything submitted after the applicable window is not valid and will not be counted.
- The allowance: up to ten per act per email address, per method, per window, with TikTok counted per public TikTok account.
- The profile: the app and the website need an NBCUniversal profile, and participation is open to eligible persons.
| Item | What NBC announced | Count or percentage |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly rounds | Results of each round revealed on Wednesday nights at 8/7c | None stated |
| September 8 episode | Results calculated on the spot and announced immediately | None stated |
| First quarterfinal recap | Top 3 Acts that received the most America's Votes named | No counts or percentages |
| Live Finale, September 23 | Host Terry Crews reveals the results of America's Vote | None stated |
Do this in order
-
Open the app or the voting page
NBC's FAQ has fans download the official America's Got Talent app from the App Store or Google Play, or go to NBC's voting page in a browser.
-
Log in with an NBCUniversal profile
Fans who have no profile create one first, because the app and the website both require an NBCUniversal profile before any act can be chosen.
-
Tap VOTE and choose acts
In the app, fans tap the VOTE button and click the acts of their choice to assign votes while the applicable window is open.
-
Submit before the window closes
Both routes end with a submit step, and the window must still be open when the choices go in.
Fast answers
How many votes do you get on AGT?
NBC's FAQ says fans can cast up to ten votes for each act on the ballot that week, inside the applicable window. The cap is counted per method and per email address, with TikTok counted per public TikTok account.
How many votes can you cast on AGT from one email address?
NBC's FAQ caps each email address at ten per act, per method, per window on the app and the website. TikTok applies the same ten per act, counted per public TikTok account instead.
How many votes do you need on AGT?
No total or threshold appears in NBC's recap of the first Season 21 quarterfinal, which names the Top 3 Acts by America's Votes and gives no numerical counts or percentages. The number an act needs is therefore unstated.
How do you vote for America's Got Talent tonight finalists?
No AGT finalists window is open on September 30, 2026. NBC's FAQ lists the performance show airing September 22, 2026, and that window ran from 9 p.m. ET Tuesday to 7 a.m. ET Wednesday, with the results of America's Vote scheduled for the Wednesday night.
When are AGT voting results announced?
NBC scheduled the results of each Season 21 round for Wednesday nights at 8/7c, ending with the Live Finale on September 23. For the September 8 episode, NBC said results would be calculated on the spot and announced immediately.
What happens to an AGT vote cast after the window closes?
A vote submitted after the applicable window is not valid and will not be counted, NBC's FAQ says. So the last moment a ballot counts is the close of the window, whatever the method.
Do AGT finale results come on the same night as the vote?
No. NBC's schedule puts the Season 21 finalists' performance show on Tuesday, September 22 and the results of America's Vote on Wednesday, September 23.
How does NBC detect a fake AGT vote?
The limits NBC states, ten per act per email address per method per window, say nothing about how a fake vote is detected, and a vote outside the window is not valid. The organiser alone decides what is flagged or disqualified.

Only NBC can publish an AGT vote count, and no figure here is an estimate. NBC alone decides which votes are valid, when results are announced and whether a figure is released. A result cannot be checked early, sped up or changed by anyone outside the show, and a fan site's tally is not NBC's count.
Each organiser's own terms decide which votes are valid, and an organiser can void votes or disqualify an entry. ITV's Love Island terms limit each registered mobile number to one vote per voting event and rule out any method the terms do not state. America's Got Talent asks voters to register and accept its official voting rules, with a cap of ten votes per act, per voting method, per voting window. The American Music Awards decided each winner by the total of valid votes in the category.
Organisers write an ordinary voter down in numbers. The American Music Awards allowed up to 30 votes per award per day on each voting platform, the NASCAR All-Star Race fan vote allowed five a day per unique email address, and the iHeartRadio Music Awards allowed 50 a day per category. A crowd of separate voters stays inside limits like these and arrives day by day, with busier days when an organiser opens a boost. This describes how organisers count; it is not a way around a check.
We give no legal advice and cite no statute: the terms that bind a fan vote are the organiser's own, and they fix who may vote. Dancing with the Stars online voters must be at least 18 and in the United States, its territories or Canada; Love Island USA voting is open to US residents aged 18 or older, or with parental permission. We refuse member-only ballots such as the ACM Awards, categories an organiser decides itself, as MTV did with Best Video, and any vote for public office.

The part of a request that is not delivered before the organiser's voting closes is refunded. A result, a disqualification and a voided vote are never refunded, because the organiser decides all three. Nor is a vote's worth inside the format covered: the MLB All-Star ballot did not carry Phase 1 totals into Phase 2, and at The Game Awards fan voting is one tenth of the vote that decides winners.
